It was great to be able to swim in our school pool. We had a lot of fun splashing water on each other.
A teacher said about this novel technique,
We have put a lot of thought into a very fun strategy to attract children to school. Temperatures in the region have been intensifying since the heat wave has increased. That's why we made the classroom a swimming pool.
After adopting such a strategy, school attendance has increased manifold. Due to this, the teachers have requested the school authorities to make a permanent swimming pool for the students.
Meanwhile, India's Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Andhra, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha due to intense heat. The temperature is predicted to increase further in these states in the next two to three days.
