If the shop is kept open after 8 pm, the electricity is disconnected
The electricity department has called for the closure of shops after 8 pm to ensure electricity for the public amid the intense heat wave. In view of this call, the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas has warned that if the shops including shopping malls and commercial establishments are kept open after 8 pm, along with the DPDC, the electricity will be disconnected.

He said that in order to ensure uninterrupted power supply amid the ongoing heat wave, everyone should accept the call of the electricity department to close shopping malls and commercial establishments after 8 pm.

"Those who keep shops open after 8 o'clock, try to do business with electricity connection, we will take DPDC along with them and disconnect their connections", warned the mayor of DSCC.

Reminding that this rule of closing shops after 8 is not new, he further said that we had announced this a few years ago. We will conduct the campaign. From now on, we will conduct joint operations in every region.
