More than 5 lakh users affected by Facebook outage: Downdetector
Many users are facing problems to login to Facebook in different countries including Bangladesh. Many Facebook Messenger and Instagram users have reported the same issue. All three social networking platforms are owned by tech firm Meta.
According to the website Downdetector, which monitors the activities of the website, more than 583,000 users have been logged out of Facebook since the problem started on Tuesday night Bangladesh time till 9:30 pm. More than 84 thousand users faced the same problem with Instagram.
However, using WhatsApp, a data sharing application owned by Meta, as a downdetector did not cause problems. Users did not report any outages using Facebook's rival social media X (formerly Twitter).
Several users have complained of not being able to log into Facebook since 9pm today. Even those who were logged into Facebook are automatically logged out. Users are also logging out of Messenger.
According to Fox2Now.com, similar problems are also happening in the United States and the United Kingdom.
