Ancient city discovered in southern part of Bangladesh

Khulna, Bangladesh - March 12, 2024 - A team of archaeologists working in collaboration with the University of Dhaka has stumbled upon a groundbreaking discovery - a remarkably well-preserved ancient city buried deep beneath the soil in the southern district of Khulna.

Early estimates suggest the city dates back to at least the 3rd century BCE, potentially predating major known civilizations in the region.

The news has sent shockwaves through the archaeological community, with experts eager to delve deeper into the unearthed city. Plans are already underway to expand the excavation site and meticulously analyze the retrieved artifacts.
